* that there will be a Python 2.7 that will incorporate what we learn from people trying to port, * that 3.1 will rearrange the standard library in mostly-known ways, and * that we expect people to use 3.0 mostly for compatibility testing, not going into serious production use until 3.1 or maybe even 3.2.
I think that would be fantastic to have a small set of straightforward sentences like these, to transmit the most important stuff. For my part, when it's fixed, I will translate them to spanish and propagate them.
(The details are open to discussion, of course.)
I think those are fine. I would add something about the migration path, something like "If you want to start testing your library/system in 3.0, you should first use Python 2.6, see migration details [here]" Regards, -- .
