I know we're not responsible for the ravings of people on social media, but do you think we should do a FAQ? Something along the lines of:
the version after 3.9 will be 3.10, and in fact it already exists;
if there ever is a version 4, the transition from 3 to 4 will be more
like that from 1 to 2 rather than 2 to 3.
Seems like a good plan.
Current evidence suggests, however, that no amount of preemptive documentation will have any impact at all on social media fueled FUD.
