PGO is not enabled in RHEL and Fedora. I did some initial testing for Fedora, however it increased the compilation time of the RPM by approximately two hours, so for the time being I left it out. Victor, do you know if you or anyone else has compared the RHEL/CentOS 7.x binaries (Python 2.7.5 + patches, built with GCC 4.8.x) with the Fedora 25 binaries (Python 2.7.13 + patches, built with GCC 6.3.x)?
I didn't and I'm not aware of anyone who did that. It would be nice to run performance since this benchmark suite should now be much more reliable. By the way, I always forget to check if Fedora and RHEL compile Python using PGO.
