Neither Google nor GitHub are free or open. Bitbucket and Facebook aren't either. I'm not saying they're bad services because of that of course, but I don't want to have to rely on any of them to access python.org resources, and I don't want my choice to be log into Facebook or manage a slew of passwords. But I'm not volunteering to do the work, so I don't get to decide. I'm just stating that I think our principle should be that you *can* (not *must*) use free and open services to access our resources. -Barry
