[Python-Dev] Lib/plat-xxxx directories

Can someone enlighten me as to the purpose of the Lib/plat-xxxx directories. What goes in there? Why?

I'm trying to figure out if I should be creating one for SCO Open Server

BTW. Someone with CVS write access should probably cd Lib ln -s plat-unixware7 plat-openunix8 cvs add plat-openunix8

OpenUNIX 8.0.0 is really UnixWare 7.1.2 underneath.
