If the builtin UTF-7 and UTF-8 stateful decoders are broken and the ones from the CJKCodecs aren't, why don't we move the your into the core and drop the builtins?
It could be a solution. But builtin UTF codecs are far faster than CJKCodecs' because of CJKCodecs' layered structure. Almost all usecases in the real world for codecs are simple .encode and .decode, CJKCodecs' slowness would be too critical to consider it as a replacement of builtin UTF codecs. Hye-Shik
