Yeah, usually the BDFL has to berate you for weeks to get some minor addition, like oh, mimelib, into the standard library <wink>.
Yeah, I usually check something into Tools/scripts/ after 50 people ask for it. Guido never says anything, but I can sense him scowling. Then after a few years he demands to move it into the library. So I do. Then he complains that the exposed API is more suitable for a tool than a library, but that we have more important things to do than twiddle the API.
