Yes, tons of beginners use it. On the tutor and python-list mailing
lists, there are plenty of questions from people using IDLE.

IIRC, I used IDLE when first learning Python.

Hopefully this bug is fixed by someone.

PyQt and PySide:
- are more accessible to screen readers
- support QThread, QThreadPool, QRunnable
- quamash is an asyncio event loop with/for Qt
- PyQtGraph
