Comments like this make me feel like I didn’t explain myself very well in the
PEP.
It’s been pointed out to me that Mercurial bookmarks have been core since 1.8
and since I felt like the technical arguments were really secondary to the social
arguments I’ve gone ahead and removed that section from the PEP.
I’ve also added the read only Mercurial repository on
hg.python.org
