No, it isn't. You add a decorator, a 'from_' class, and a 'return_' function, and there you go. (See my previous code sketches here in early PEP 380 discussions.)
Will it handle *all* of the generator protocol correctly, including send(), exception handling, and generator closing? Also, how efficient would it be? A major benefit of a built-in implementation is that it can be almost as fast as using the sub-generator directly. -- Greg
