Should be "least". I still remember when my 3rd grade teacher derided the imprecise use of terms other than "greatest" and "least" for describing numbers.

did you check the link? the first entry only expands the abbreviation, the third entry provides the full explanation:
least common denominator n. Abbr. lcd The least common multiple of the denominators of a set of fractions: The least common denominator of 1/3 and 1/4 is 12. Also called lowest common denominator.
if you're gonna nitpick, you could at least do it right ;-)
