First two definitions of "resolve" from the American Heritage dict:
1. To make a firm decision about. 2. To cause (a person) to reach a decision.
I think it applies quite well.
That's why the entire field is called "Resolution". "duplicate", "invalid", "out of date", "wont fix" and "works for me" are also firm decisions. ("later", "postponed", and "remind" might not be firm decisions - they were just inherited from SF). Regards, Martin
