I've removed the pcre module, unused since Python 1.6, from CVS HEAD. Should I try to edit the various build files in PC/ and PCbuild/ to remove it, or should that be left to the Windows-based developers (Tim, Thomas Heller, Martin)? --amk

If you easily can, please do. If you don't, I'll try to do that tomorrow (unless somebody beats me). Regards, Martin

Yay! We hardly knew ye, pcre.

Leave it to the Windows geeks. The build files are generated by MS IDEs, and it's easiest, safest, and fastest for us to click the IDE's "delete this file" button. It will update the build files accordingly then.

We'll do it. (If the others don't agree, I have to do it alone). Thomas
