I'm going into the intense phase of our move now; my internet will soon be disconnected. I'll resurface Monday in California. In order to avoid having a huge backlog of email, I'm turning off delivery on my python-dev and python-checkins subscriptions. If you send a message guido@python.org, I should be able to get it Monday afternoon. I wish everyone, but especially Barry and the remaining two at PythonLabs, well with the release; you have my cell phone number! --Guido van Rossum (home page: http://www.python.org/~guido/)

There were five at PythonLabs: Guido, Tim, Barry, Jeremy and Fred. Now Guido's leaving, but it seems there are only three left behind. Someone else apparently moved. What'd I miss? Skip

Jeremy is also in the midst of moving to a different state, although he'll still be working for Zope Corp.

So Fred, do you think it's too late to get that braces patch into Python 2.3? shh!-don't-tell-guido-ly y'rs, -Barry P.S. Good luck with the move. Hopefully Python as you know it will still be here when you get back <wink>.

More to the point, at OSCON, the Perl folks auctioned off that I would check conditional expressions into CVS [*]. As soon as the PSF receives its half of the proceeds I'll do it.

Thanks! How about setting my python.org mail to forward to python.net? --Guido van Rossum (home page: http://www.python.org/~guido/) [*] On a branch. Don't tell the Perl folks. :)

No, we just announced the pie-throwing to be held at OSCON 2004. I'll make the slides available as soon as my desktop machine is back on the net (in 2 weeks or so). --Guido van Rossum (home page: http://www.python.org/~guido/)
