test_StringIO failing on the Mac
I have one remaining problem (at least, as far as I'm aware:-) with 2.0c1 on the Mac: test_StringIO fails. The reason is that the test_StringIO output file was generated on Unix, and hence it uses the unix form of string.letters (a-zA-Z), whereas the Mac version of string.letters has far more values. As this isn't what the test is about in the first place, shall I fix the test? -- Jack Jansen | ++++ stop the execution of Mumia Abu-Jamal ++++ Jack.Jansen@oratrix.com | ++++ if you agree copy these lines to your sig ++++ www.oratrix.nl/~jack | ++++ see http://www.xs4all.nl/~tank/ ++++

+1 from me on making the test portable.
