That's fine! The wink operator takes any numeric object. The specific wink application in question is about 12% stronger than <1.0 wink>, and jauntily angled about 27 degrees in the whimsical direction. I've often thought polar coordinates would be better for continuous winkery, so that intensity and degree of whimsy could be read off directly.
