If good arguments against @ are presented it may be removed in 2.4b1 (that was always the plan but apparently not publicized).
I am going to take this as an invitation to discuss @ syntax again. Given the controversy, a reexamination of the major issues seems not only reasonable, but desirable. Please feel free to send me links to relevant discussion, but given the apparent lack of consensus at present I would not like to be told to read the entire py-dev archives.
Please bring up the Leo issues in Python-dev.

Only the hunderds of messages about decorator syntax would do. That would avoid rehashing the same points over and over and over again without adding new information. Ronald
