Well obviously another change would have to be made to Idle.
Your argument seems to boil down to "no-one uses the prompt", so why not just get rid of it?
I use the prompt pretty much all the time (and yes, that's on Windows - I imagine a lot of Unix users use the prompt :-)) Paul
