Regardless of who made the very first mention of the encoding problem in this thread, I think we should all be able to agree that laziness is *not* the only reason for having encoding problems. I thought I made it clear that I did not subscribe to that opinion.
Not a problem. Equally, my "I feel insulted" dig was uncalled for - it was the sort of semi-humorous comment that doesn't translate itself well in email. I think the debate here has been immensely useful, and I appreciate everyone's comments. Paul.
