Works for me using 2.6.2 on Windows 7. Do you use IPython (and/or pyreadline)? That does ugly things with keyboard handling...
Hey Paul, Terry was right. It's something that happens only in IDLE. I was surprised to find that it works on the command-line, as others have reported.
