Considering that, over multiple days of discussion, literally nobody came to the same conclusion that you did, then it's obvious that the while path, each step on it, and the final answer are NOT as unavoidable as you imagine them to be.
Right, that means the spec for "strict mode, part 2" will need to be as long and detailed as that for "strict mode, part 1", and collect together all the stuff which was discussed here over these multiple days. Whereas if other people would have come to that conclusion, it could be much shorter and faster to write.
I think we can consider this case closed
