I like the idea of including batteries for statistics. Not to leave without shedding a bike - I know the "math" module says it "provides access to the mathematical functions defined by the C standard", but I think it's the perfect home for such functionality. http://docs.python.org/library/math.html begs for another header named "statistical functions". --Yuval Greenfield
