I'm unconvinced, too. Python has always relied mostly on C-level code to get grunty things done efficiently. If the C-level code knows how to take advantage of multiple cores, Python applications will benefit, too. As long as Numeric can make use of the other 127 cores, and OpenGL can run my 512-core GPU at full tilt, I'll be happy. :-) -- Greg
