I want to point out that the ./local/bin directory isn't the only thing unversioned - any docs/ which get laid down by a package are also being plopped in .local/docs - not .local/version/docs.

Is it a problem? I understand the docs could be versioned by package version, but why should they be versioned by interpreter version?
