Not just functions, it is all instances. Properties are only invoked if
they are on the class object, not the instance.

I see. The concrete function is simply handled like an instance of the class "function" and not in any special way.

Is that something I could fix? Or is it still not clear how this should be fixed? I am totally unaware of the bigger picture and wider repercussions here.
