Code generators often use such names, though. Since _1234 is currently a legal identifier, you'd be breaking backward compatibility. I understand the motivation for a thousands separator, at least (though I'll admit, I don't find it compelling; *all* big numbers in code are too magical). -Fred -- Fred L.
