NumFOCUS Fiscal Sponsorship
Hi everyone, I am happy to announce that scikit-image is now a NumFOCUS fiscally sponsored project. From the NumFOCUS website: Fiscally sponsored projects formally become part of NumFOCUS. NumFOCUS provides a number of services for fiscally sponsored projects, including financial administration, operational and legal support. Fiscally sponsored projects are also eligible to use NumFOCUS resources and infrastructure to help raise money for the project. Having a fiscal sponsor is another step in maturing the project, obtaining funding, and hiring developers, documentation writers, web developers, and others to drive our project forward. I'd also like to highlight two important documents: 1. Governance and decision making https://scikit-image.org/docs/dev/skips/1-governance.html 2. Mission statement https://scikit-image.org/docs/dev/skips/2-values.html 2020 is off to an exciting start! I'm looking forward to what we can do together, backed by formal support. Best regards, Stéfan
