Max Walker and co. from Marakana did a fantastic job with the videos from PyData. The scikits-image lecture is now available online:

I find it pretty annoying listening to my own voice, so what I like to do is to go to:

http://youtube.com/html5

and enable the HTML5 trial. Then, if you watch on YouTube, there's an icon at the bottom to adjust the playback speed to 1.5x (ah, the relief!).
