Do any one is currently working in BM3D? If anyone is, do you have any perfectly working implementation of BM3D, preferably, in Matlab, can you kindly share if you have?
I am not aware of any such efforts, although it would certainly be of interest. It is on our list of requested features: https://github.com/scikit-image/scikit-image/wiki/Requested-features Best regards, Stéfan

Hi Zaied, The original authors of the BM3D paper have a Matlab implementation at http://www.cs.tut.fi/~foi/GCF-BM3D/ However, if I remember correctly it relies on some pre-compiled MEX files so isn't really open source. It is free to use for non-profit/academic purposes, though. There was also a C++ implementation published in IPOL http://www.ipol.im/pub/art/2012/l-bm3d/

Here is the license: http://www.cs.tut.fi/~foi/GCF-BM3D/legal_notice.html Please do not look at that code if you want to make an implementation for scikit-image. We don't want to create a derivative product. Best regards, Stéfan
Thanks a lot.
