I was wondering if it's possible by using scikits-image to detect if arbitrary image suffers from compression artifacts. I mean artifacts in common sense, like saving original image in 80 quality JPEG is fine, but reencoding it over and over again, possibly resizing etc is something I would like to detect - visible color distorsion, edge noise, blockness...

Is there efficient method that scikits-image can provide
