Hi I had very similar import problems when I checked out the source from github last friday, that got sorted out by pulling it again sunday, so maybe it is enough for you to update your repository and build again... Guillaume

I think Guillaume is correct here. The error looks like a circular import that was fixed in PR #394<https://github.com/scikit-image/scikit-image/pull/394>. Does updating fix the issue? -Tony
