Hi Stefan, I am an RGSoC applicant, I was going through the requested features list and found "Improve website". I have worked on such projects before. Is anyone working on it? I have some ideas for the website, can we discuss? Thanks, Avishi

I have ideas too, would love to discuss! My primary goal for the website right now is to 1) get it to be generated in Hugo (and look pretty much the same of now) 2) add a gallery of contributors 3) restyle the front page and 4) restyle the documentation [especially reference and parameter rendering for functions]. Best regards, Stéfan
Hey, I am new to Hugo, but I am looking forward to acquiring new skills. A gallery of contributors sounds like a great idea! Maybe we can add link/s to their GitHub and/or Twitter accounts too? I think the front page could be more descriptive and we can also work on the theme. I made the following observations about the website: Website is not responsive, the margins do not resize according to different screen sizes. Content management can be improved. For instance, in the Gallery tab, we can add a vertical navbar to improve accessibility. In Downloads, we can have separate tabs for LTS and non-LTS releases. P.S. - Sorry for the late reply, I am new to this mailing list platform. I accidentally sent you an email instead of replying to this thread. Regards, Avishi

Excellent observations! We can also improve navigation between documentation versions, so that it tries to find the same page when you switch. In Downloads, while we don't plan on having LTS releases again (the last one was an exception to deal with the Python 3 transition), we should do something like this: https://github.com/numpy/numpy.org/pull/212 A good start would be getting a basic Hugo version of our page built, and setting up GitHub actions to upload it. Best regards, Stéfan
