Hi everyone Who would be interested in mentoring Google Summer of Code for scikit-image this year? Projects include porting ndimage to Cython, dynamic time warping, and possibly face detection. Regards Stéfan
Hi Stéfan, As I've mentioned before, this year I'd like to play a smaller role in GSoC. I won't register as a mentor. (Though I love my GSoC'14 t-shirt! =D) Having said that, I have a very strong interest in the ndimage port! Juan. On Wed, Mar 4, 2015 at 8:17 PM, Stefan van der Walt <stefanv@berkeley.edu> wrote:

I wouldn't mind getting involved in the ndimage port to Cython, as in co-mentoring it or helping out any other way you see fit, . I haven't done much in skimage, but am a numpy developer and have done some stuff in ndimage. If nothing else, I actually understand what most of the ndimage C code is doing, which is probably a useful skill for the job! Jaime -- (\__/) ( O.o) ( > <) Este es Conejo. We need one last backup mentor for GSoC to continue (as 3rd backup mentor, you won't be expected to do much, unless I happen to disappear into the void). Stéfan
Hi Stefan, Sorry, I’ll be too busy over the summer myself, but I am happy to function as a backup mentor, if occasional reviews of PRs and sporadic participation in discussions are okay with you. Best, Johannes
