Re: Domain name: skimage.org vs scikit-image.org
I would actually rather go with scikit-image.org as the domain name reflecting the name of the project. It's what I would expect most users would search for as well. Brian On Oct 4, 2012 6:24 PM, "Stéfan van der Walt" <stefan@sun.ac.za> wrote:

+1 on skimage for repo (maybe github organization, maybe not) and python

Ditto for scikit-learn (sklearn repo and import). Wasn't the purpose of
this renaming to team up with scikit-learn?
Teaming up, in the sense of having a more unified brand, yes.
At the moment we have:
http://skimage.org -> website https://github.com/scikit-image -> org https://github.com/scikit-image/scikit-image -> repo
I am OK with the repo having a slightly longer name, since I almost never have to type that in :)
