Hi, I read the code of the function check_distribution_rvs and can't understand the logic behind it: - in the code: https://github.com/scipy/scipy/blob/878285cfa3bdaf2abaa3b8f7e51ae4a277d63b3… - in L678: why is "stats.kstest(dist, dist, args=args, N=1000)"? I thought it should be "stats.kstest(dist, rvs, args=args, N=1000)"? because the comments also say "Repeat the test with a new sample of rvs. Generate 1000 rvs, perform a K-S test that the new sample of rvs". Did I miss something? Thanks.

Pythran 0.13.0 - bouc'hal - is out

Hey folks, It is my great pleasure to share with you this new release of the pythran compiler. Pythran is an ahead of time compiler for scientific kernels written in Python. As usual the release is now available on PyPi[0] and Github[1] and will soon stream to conda and major distro thanks to the restless packagers, who I personnaly thank for testing the release before it got released. The people interested in the details can read the official Changelog[2], but two points are worth mentionning: - A lot of efforts have been put into optimizing the quality of the generated code, especially for small function taking scalars as parameters and high-level sliced expression. I hope it will improve some of your codes! - This releases includes a compatibility patch for the latest release of the gast package. It fixes the following error you would get with pythran 0.12.x AttributeError: type object 'PatternTransform' has no attribute 'typePatterns' Special thanks to @drew-parsons, @andyfaff, @jeanlaroche and @stefanv for testing this release. Thomas A Caswell and Mark Harfouche contributed patches to this new version, high five to them! I'm hiding a lot of bugs in Pythran, some of them eventually get fixed.
