On ticket #467, I have uploaded two different patches, one which removes unneeded tests of numpy's mean function within scipy (since scipy's mean is now not used) and the other is an update of the tests based on cdavid's earlier patch. I'd like to go through and see if any other tests can be removed/cleaned using the same principle (i.e. only test functions that are part of scipy in scipy's tests, remove tests of functions that are now part of numpy), but I wanted to wait for a decision to be made on this ticket first. Does anybody have any input into this? Thanks, Robert
