Re: [SciPy-user] partially reading a file [corollary]

Now, let's say I have scatter data in a big binary file (stored in the form (xi, yi, zi, vi)), like on the snapshot, showing a "small" scatter. How can I cut the scatter efficiently in several files, as in the previous mail ? I can use memmap to "read" the whole file, but after ? It's more a algorithmic issue from my own point of view. TIA.
