[SciPy-user] Monitoring Functions for Iterative Solvers

Hi all, I am going to solve large linear systems with current iterative solvers in scipy. Is it possible to get some control output during the iteration process, e.g iteration number versus actual residual How can I find a suitable starting guess x_0 ? Default is a zero vector, but is there any other rule of thumb ? Nils
