Is anybody working on a toolbox for Kalman filtering and derivative ?
Hi, I wanted to know if anyone is developing, or know a toolbox for kalman filtering and derivative (particle filter, non linear kalman, etc...) ? I am working right now on (simple, linear, Gaussian) Kalman filtering, would like to extend it, and I thought it would be a great addition to scipy, and I would like to avoid duplicating works, David
Hi David, Though it's not just a Kalman filtering toolbox, the open source computer vision library, OpenCV contains implementations of Kalman filtering. I've had good success using OpenCV's Python wrappers to do a lot of 2D vision and image processing very quickly with Python. If nothing else, you could use their source as a point of comparison for your implementation. Cheers, Aaron On Sep 29, 2006, at 8:07 AM, David Cournapeau wrote:

Thanks for the tip, but I am mainly interested in non visual related problems, and I wish to be more general. Could be nice to have comparison, though, I agree, David
