where to get version 0.3.2?
Hi, I just wanted to install one of my packages for a student of mine. This package requires the old scipy. Now, the new web page looks great, but I was unable to find a download link for the "old" scipy. And screening sourceforge did get me no further. Is the old version still available? Many thanks, Christian

Doh! ;) I've now uploaded the generic 0.3.2 tarball to SourceForge and added a link from the Wiki download page: http://www.scipy.org/Wiki/Download I still had this file, but I don't have any old binaries lying around. Can you compile it yourself? -- Ed

Thanks, but no, I can't easily compile it myself: I wrote the package on my own computer, but want to install it on (a) computer(s) running Windows, where I have limited rights. So, an installer where everything is already wrapped up would be great. :-) (Just that everybody understands: I'm talking of machines placed in our institute belonging to our university, maintained by the university's support people. I might run almost every program, but installing a compiler is something different, and making them to install packages is hopeless.) Perhaps somebody has the installer saved and could send it to me? I'm uploading some of the scipy 0.3.2 binaries to the sourceforge site now--I'll repost when they're available (and update the wiki page). Travis

[Apologies for the cross-post] I've finished uploading the "legacy" binaries to the sourceforge site. Let me know if there are any errors or omissions. I've also disabled (from non-developer view) the forums and trackers at the sourceforge site--there are folks who have been posting there, but no one is monitoring these tools. Please use the mailing lists for questions: scipy-user@scipy.org -- subscribe at http://www.scipy.net/mailman/listinfo/scipy-user scipy-dev@scipy.org -- subscribe at http://www.scipy.net/mailman/listinfo/scipy-dev and use the Tracker for issue/bugs/feature requests: http://projects.scipy.org/scipy/scipy Thanks, Travis p.s. Developers, please help move any relevant issues from sourceforge over to the developer tracker.)
Thanks a lot. I'm sorry: Apparently I've been all too impatient. I know that you guys have put quite some work in the transition. The new web page, the wiki and everything just looks great. So, once more: Thanks for all that work! Christian On Tuesday 31 January 2006 18:22, Travis N. Vaught wrote:
