IMHO no, SfePy does no have discrete structure elements like trusses. It might be possible to extend, as other components (solvers, assembling, ...) are available, but I do not know complexity of the task, as I do not know fram3dd.

Could one achive a similar result with sfepy to frame3dd (http://
frame3dd.sourceforge.net/) for structural analysis of frames? I know
the input is different a mesh file (but it can be 2d also i think) -
what kind of output does sfepy create and how hard would it be to get
the nodes displacements and forces from that output?
