What sort of tasks one have to take to implement support for 1D element? I'm also looking forward to it. However, you can provide me with brief instructions, see what I can do.

FYI: I am (slowly) adding the support for the elements of lower dimension, and
even the 1D elements are planned, but I cannot tell the time frame, as the rest
of the code has to be updated to allow that.
