Hi,

In the PR [1], all top-level scripts got --debug option that runs a post-mortem debugger when an exception occurs.

The only change that might break things is that the original --debug of run_tests.py was renamed to --raise.

Thoughts? I would like to merge this soon, if there are no serious objections.
