so all the Makefiles are gone, from now the only build method is

python setup.py build_ext --inplace

Other useful commands are

python setup.py clean python setup.py htmldocs python setup.py pdfdocs python setup.py doxygendocs

see

python setup.py --help-commands

I will push those changes to master repo, if nobody complains today :). It's available at [1] for the moment.

What remains to be done is to fix the documentation...
