I have the version of 2015.3. I would like to update it to 2016.1. Could you tell me how to update Sfepy to the new version? Do I have to install the new version from scratch? If so, do I have to remove the old version in advance and install the new version? Thanks,

This depends on whether you use sfepy installed (via python setup.py install), or in-place (via python setup.py build_ext --inplace).
When in-place, you can unpack the new version into a new directory, and just use it from there. You might want to check and compare output of your problems that it stays the same between the versions.
When installed, I recommend removing the old version.

The tests/test_input_shell10x_cantilever.py failure is due to missing scikit-umfpack - then the default scipy solver (superlu) is used, that has a slightly lower precision (and is much slower). I will increase the expected tolerance in the example so that this test passes also without umfpack.
Not sure about tests/test_eigenvalue_solvers.py - the printed results are correct - probably also just a too strict tolerance issue - could you try increasing atol on line 132 of the test file to see whether then the test passes?

Thank you for your instruction. The tests/test_input_shell10x_cantilever.py passed without error as I installed scikit-umfpack. The tests/test_eigenvalue_solvers.py passed without error when atol=8.0e-2. This test fails when atol=7.0e-2. Thanks,

The tests/test_eigenvalue_solvers.py passed without error when atol=8.0e-2. This test fails when atol=7.0e-2.
I see the problem - it seems that the evp0 solver missed the double eigenvalue (0.12170685+0.j should be two times in the output) - this is probably related to scipy version, and/or blas/lapack version. So this is not a sfepy error - consider it a recommendation which eigensolvers to (not) use :)
