SpamBayes not working as it used to

I recently had to get a new hard drive and reinstall my entire system. Before that, I had Outlook 2007 with SpamBayes (Windows XP Pro), and I was totally satisfied with the way SpamBayes worked. I have the same configuration now. There was a Spam (frown) button and a Not Spam (smile) button. When I clicked the Spam button, the selected message went to the Junk Mail folder, even if the message was in the Deleted Items folder at the time. When I clicked the Not Spam button, which was available if I was in the Junk Suspects or Junk mail folder, the message went back to the inbox. Now, there is no Not Spam button, and when I click the Spam button, the message is permanently deleted. I found nothing about this on the troubleshooting page or the FAQs. Is it possible that I used an older version of SpamBayes before? I looked for older versions on the Web site, but I couldn't find one-all the version numbers appear to be later than 1.0.4. Does anybody know how I can restore the functionality I had before? Joel

Weird Problem

Hi, Thanks for the great software, We are a non-profit and and your Spambayes has been a god send. Something weird though, one of you user's installation stopped working, Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003 on a desk top. Suddenly it just stopped, clicking on the Spambayes button does nothing. Went to com add ins and saw that it was unchecked, I checked it and restarted Outlook. Same thing. So I uninstalled spambayes and reinstalled, all with Outlook closed. Ad it did the same thing. Not Spam button doesn't appear...

...in Outlook 2007 on Windows XP Pro SP2. I'm using the most recent Spam Bayes program I downloaded and installed yesterday. I had to reinstall my system from scratch after a hard drive problem, but before that happened, I was running Spam Bayes on Outlook 2007 with the same OS. In the past, whenever I was in the Junk Mail or Junk Suspects folder and had a message selected, there was a Not Spam button. There isn't one now. How do I get it back? Joel

I just had to reinstall my computer because of a hard drive problem. I downloaded and installed the latest Spam Bayes version to run on Outlook 2007. Everything appears to work normally except that when I have a message in Junk Mail or Junk Suspects selected, there is no Not Spam button. Before my hard drive problem, there always was a Not Spam button when I had a message in Junk Mail or Junk Suspects selected. How do I get the button to appear? Joel

Error message

SpamBayes worked great for a year. Now each morning I get the message "Problem with Spambayes Configuration, run wizard to reconfigure the filter". I've done this numerous times to no avail. I uninstalled, re-downloaded, and get the same message every day and much of the spam is still getting through. I even tried re-set. I am using XP SP2, And Outlook 2003 SP2. Help! SpamBayes on Outlook 2007

Hi SpamBayes have been working fine until yesterday when I try to click on the button Delete As Spam and nothing happens. I also tried to click on the SpamBayes toolbar to configure the settings but nothing happend. Any idea what went wrong? I have reinstall the spambayes outlook plug in and everything still remains the same. Thanks Yih Wen

I am looking to implement a managed services package for my clients. My problem is managing SpamBayes remotely. What I mean is that my clients tend to delete the "Junk email" folder or the "Suspect" folder gets drug in to the wrong place and SpamBayes quits working. Is there a process that I can monitor to see if it is running? Is there a way I can "lock" the folders so they cannot be deleted or move? These clients are not on Exchange server, they are stand alone desktops. Help needed immediately

I hope this is sent to the right area/people -- I just downloaded your software. I'm trying to "train" my machine by letting it put e-mail in "Spam" or "Unsure" folders and then going to these folders and telling the program whether each file in the folder is "Junk" or "Good". However, My e-mail is disappearing -- how do I find where the the "Spam" and "Unsure" folders are? There doesn't seem to be anything in your FAQ's that addresses this situation, and the "Tools/Advanced Find" doesn't work the way you say in your FAQ's. There's no phone number or e-mail in your "Contact Us/Contact Details" and I need to find/access my e-mail. Please call 970-248-9200 ASAP!!!! It is now 10:45 AM in western Colorado where I am. You could e-mail me but your e-mail would go to some unknown location where I don't know how to find it, so please don't do that! Thank you. Sue K
