Hi, I have installed the latest Spambayes but there isn't the facility in the Manager to empty junk mail. Can you please tell me how to do this quickly, without deleting each spam email into the deleted items and then emptying that. Troubleshoot SpamBayes multi-user install on Vista

I am installing spambayes 1.04 on Windows Vista Home Premium with Outlook 2007. I installed it successfully for one user but am now trying for another user account to also use it on the same computer. I followed the troubleshooting guide and tried to execute the command outlook_addin_register.exe" hkey_local_machine Log shows access denied (see attached). User is logged in as an administrator. What do I do?

spamdatabase doesn't grow anymore

Hi We are using spambayes with Communigate Pro on a Windows 2003 server For training the database we use the sb_filter.py script on a mailbox C:\python24\python.exe C:\python24\scripts\sb_filter.py -d spamdb2.db -s "..\CommuniGate Files\Accounts\spam.mdir" >nul C:\python24\python.exe C:\python24\scripts\sb_filter.py -d spamdb2.db -g "..\CommuniGate Files\Accounts\nospam.mdir" >nul and this has worked very goeed for a long time. But recently we had a lot of spams coming trough and saw that the spamdb.db filesize stays at 82.040 KB ! Normally after training the filesize always grows. We've started with a new database, however after 2 weeks the filesize stays at 20.680 KB. Spambayes still functions ok but we feel we can't update the database anymore ... Spambayes prevents IE from sending email via MS Outlook 2003

Hi, Whenever I try to send a page or a link from my IE7 browser via MS Outlook 2003, I get an error. I looked for a solujtion on the net and found the following link, which to be correct: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Office_Productivity/Groupware/Outl… Since this page is available only to subscribers of experts-exchange, let me quote it: "What was happening was that from within IE when trying to 'send link by email' or 'send page by email', I was getting a Microsoft Office Outlook dialog box that said "The operation failed". After some testing I discovered that the SpamBayes anti-spam plug-in installed was causing Outlook to not close completely after the Outlook process was launched by trying to send a link from IE. To see if this is the problem, close all Outlook windows then look at your task manager to see if you see an Outlook process. If you see any, kill them. Then in IE (with Outlook closed) try to send a link again. It may work once, but if you look at task manager you'll notice the process still there. And if you try to send a second link, it gives an error. If these are the symptoms you are seeing, go into your Outlook options and disable all the 'COM Add-Ins' and items in the 'Add-In Manager'. See if this fixes the problem then enable the plug-ins one by one to find the culprit". Is there a way to instruct SB to quit altogether from the system when MS Outlook closes? The absense of this complete closure seems to be the cause for the reported problem. problem

I recently installed spambayes on a windows XP laptop that I had to re-install the operating system. I run spambayes successfully on the other 4 computers I own. On this one the menu buttons (recover from spam and delete as spam) do not move the message to the appropriate folder. I have deleted the SB menu item, I have deleted the outcmd.dat file, but they still don't move the files. I also just removed and re-loaded SB. Any hints?

Using: Win XP Pro SP2 SpamBays 1.0.4 Outlook 2003 I've been using the plugging without problems for some time. I have MS Junk email function turned off. Question: Any reason why I can't turn MS Junk email back on in concert with SpamBays? The reason is I can then allow folks in my address book to be considered safe. SpamBays sometimes puts folks I communicate with regularly in the "Spam Suspects" folder. If I can run both at once, are there any down sides? such as slow response? Spam bayes

Hello, I used spambyes on a pc with windows XP + Outlook 2002 It worked fine during 10 monthes .... and an icon desapeared ! So i decidedd to reinstall spambayes (after having uninstall it) and i did not succeed : And now I can't re-install it correctly : - no icon appears in outlook ! - no toolbar available for spambayes ! remark : i delete the directory in my "documents ans settings" relative to spambyes Can you give me a way to recover this fantastic tool ? SpamBayes Outlook plugin

I've been having trouble with the SpamBayes Outlook addin keeping Outlook 2003 from opening. The SpamBayes log files have nothing in them. Apparently outlook_addin.dll sees a problem and stops SpamBayes from opening. I've tried all manner of things. I've disabled SpamBayes, then removed and reinstalled it. I still get the error. Then I figured a recent Microsoft patch Tuesday had caused the problem, so I proceeded to use System Restore and rolled the computer back. That didn't work. So then I tried renaming the .ini and .db files, thinking maybe a reinstall of clean files would solve the problem. That didn't solve it either. Any ideas? Cordially, Kristofer J. Carlson

I have 1.0.4 version windows XP. I reinstalled my hard drive and the toolbar at the top of Outlook is not showing the two buttons for Spambayes? Can you tell me what to do to fix it.
