Having a problem using Spambayes and Outlook 2007. I am seeing this message on startup: "Outlook experienced a serious problem with the 'spambayes' add-in." Using spambayes for non email spam

Dear all, I moderate a public message board with close to a 100000 users.There are a lot of spammy posts which take up a lot of time to physically clean up. I am thinking of automating it this way: 1. Automatically retrieve posts ( some nifty perl and curl) from the message board 2. Analyse them using a spam engine ( spambayes for example) 3. Automatically delete spam posts I already have a reasonable ham and spam collection. I need to know , at least on a broad level, how I can achieve this ,with specific references to parts that I can use directly and parts that I need to write on my own .I guess I need to script my own top level script similar to the proxies that are already there. I have a group of volunteers to help me, and we shall only be too glad to contribute our code to spambayes, if we succeed . Regards Sudeep

Outlook not close properly after some days

Hello, Outlook not close properly when I enable outlook_addin.dll, outlook disappears from the tray, but Outlook.exe is still running. I notice when I disable and enable it, Outlook close properly, but only for a short time. After some days it happens again. I can't update to a newer Beta-Spambays version, because it not work on my system. Any Ideas? (Vista Ultimate 32, Outlook 2007, SpamBayes 1.0.4) Peter

Service will not start resoved

For no reason other that to experiment I move the .db file from their directory and allowed SpamBayes to recreate them. The service started and then stayed up. Stopped the service, moved the original files back where they belonged and re-started the service. Strange, but fixed. Thanks. -- Jeff Hughes

Mail Suddenly Not Filtering

Hello, I have SpamBayes installed and configured on a Win 2000 machine using Outlook 2003 SP2. It is configured so the spam messages are managed in a folder named SPAM and unsure messages are managed in a folder named Junk Suspects. The Outlook Junk Mail option is not enabled, but e-mails from the addresses in the Blocked Senders list are moved to the Junk E-mail folder. For about a year or so, mail was being filtered properly, but just recently, it stopped working. Instead of messages being properly filtered in the SPAM and Junk Suspects folder, most of the e-mails are being moved into the Junk Suspects folder now. When I try to manually classify the e-mail by using the Delete As Spam and Recover From Spam buttons, the messages are not being moved. If I close Outlook and reopen it, I sometimes will be able to manually classify a few messages, but then it stops working again. I have tried to uninstall/reinstall SpamBayes, but it didnt resolve the issue. Attached is the log file. Any suggestions are appreciated.
