Lost email messages

Yesterday I installed the latest edition of Spambayes and configured it. This morning I had no incoming messages at all. Worse, all the messages in my inbox (Outlook Express) dating from July forward were missing. I opened the four small icons that were in the taskbar but they indicated that no messages had been received. Thinking that my missing messages would reappear, I uninstalled Spaybayes, restarted the computer but the messages were still missing. I also did a system-wide search for Spambaye with no results. I then sent messages to myself, but they never arrived. Consequently, I called my ISP, Comcast, but they couldn't help me. Can you tell me how I can receive incoming mail again, and if possible, recover the hundreds of missing messages. I'm sure this has been addressed, but I've searched high and low for a resolution but have been unable to find one. One of our users, when selecting a mail item to mark as spam(or recover from spam, if such is the case) has to click the mail twice. The first time...nothing happens. The second time, the item goes where it's supposed to, but delivers a "no filterable mail items" error message. The user is using Outlook 2003 on a Windows XP SP3 machine. After a while, that will happen automatically. SpamBayes works by examining the characteristics of messages that you classify as spam. Initially, you have classified no messages, so it has no information as to what your spam looks like, and it files everything as possible spam. You train SpamBayes by reclassifying any messages that it gets wrong. Typically, that means dragging a message from the junk suspects folder to your inbox or to the junk folder, or selecting the message and using the Spam or Not Spam button ("Recover from Spam" or "Delete as Spam" in v1.04, I think). After you've manually classified enough messages, you'll find that SpamBayes puts almost all messages where they belong. I typically have excellent results once I have trained a few dozen messages. You should continue to reclassify any that it gets wrong, as this will improve future classification. If you're using the Outlook/Exchange junk mail controls, you may want to have SpamBayes filter the Outlook "Junk E-mail" folder as well as your inbox. I'd recommend the current 1.1 alpha if you want to do this, because it can move any good messages from the junk folder to your inbox. 1.04 can't do that, so you have to remember to look in your junk folder for any messages that Outlook thought were junk but SpamBayes classified as ham - not the most intuitive thing to do! Please "reply to all" when responding. Delete as spam not working

Spambayes download

I learned about your project from Kim Komandos newsletter. I tried to download the binary version but encountered problems. I tried to delete the program to download again but was refused many of the items after using Windows Add or Remove programs. I was notified then that the complete deletion coulld not be performed, and that I could remove the remainder manually. I attempted this, but was also refused the means to do that. In spite of not being able to completely remove what I had downloaded, I attempted to download again, but that too, failed. Now I have partial downloads of the program, but cannot obtain the full program. What is the next step?
