Hello someone, I attempted installing 1.1a4 but received an error message so I deleted everything. Then, I attempted installing 1.0.4 and got the same error message... Unable to execute file: C:\Program Files\SpamBates\docs\sb_server\readme_proxy.html ShellExecute failed; code 29 I didn't see any information on the web site about this particular error - maybe I needed to look harder, but just in case have you any info on a fix for this one? spambayes addin causes Outlook to shut down

- used spambayes (1.0.2?) and worked fine - upgraded to office (outlook inclusive) from 2002 to 2003 - spambayes pulldown menu in outlook now 'locked' ie non-responsive - tried uninstall and reinstall with 1.0.4 = no help - cannot manually remove spambayes pulldown from outlook (can 'hide' but it is still outlook) >> when use pull down at end of spambayes 2 option tabs to 'add or remove buttons' and hit customize (in an attempt to uncheck spambayes) I get the dreaded Microsoft "Houston we have a problem" and it shuts down outlook i.e. I cannot get far enough before outlook shuts down to de-select spambayes. Any attempt to workaround using Tools > Customize in Outlook produces the same result = as soon as you choose Customize outlook error message and shutdown - Have completely uninstalled Office 2003 (std edition) and reinstalled and spambayes pulldown still there and inoperable - Have tried deleting DAT ( +/- program files > user > spambayes > bin > outlook addin.dll) and deleted addin.dll from something I saw in spambayes narrative = no help - I do run AVG antivirus in Outlook Any ideas would be greatly appreciated >> really like you product (particularly the free part). thanks _________________________________ Adams Street Advisors Drew F. How to fix/unistall SB on outlook 2007

I have recently installed outlook 2007 and my spambayes install is not working. My spambayes toolbar shows the "spam" and "SpamBayes" items. Clicking on the Spam button does nothing and clicking on the SpamBayes button does not open the SB menu. Spam is no longer going to the spam or spam suspects folder. I have tried to uninstall SB but the toolbar is always available. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but the behavior is the same. I have tried version 1.0.4 and 1.1a2 So my question is how either reinstall or fix a corrupted install. thanks

a little help please

Greetings, I downloaded SpamBayes a few months ago and am now not seeing the file where SPAM is placed. I have an Outlook Junk Mail file, but the files in there are from the middle of last year and before. I've checked, this is the most recent version of SpamBayes. * the version of Windows you are using: XP 2002 * the version of SpamBayes: Binary Version 1.0.4 (2005) * any log files - what's this? * MS Office Professional 2007 What do I need to do to get it to work again? Problem with unattended installation for new users

Hi guys, Hope someone can help. I am trying to silently install Spambayes (Outlook plugin) on a few PCs where no users exist yet. So I am installing the plugin silently as Administrator user. All works fine, no problem there. However, later on, a new user is created and when he first starts outlook, Spambayes is not there. Can you guys tell me what I´d have to do to let all future (and maybe already existing) users on a PC automatically have the plugin enabled when they start Outlook ? I´ve read through the Wiki and the FAQ but did not find anything about that. Thanks for your help ! Alex

First of all: Thanks for this and other fantastic works of sourceforge and sorry about my English. I had used spambayes for about 2 years. First with xp and outlook 2003 and it works fine. When I change to Vista and Outlook 2007 it works fine too but one day without any changes (apparently) spambayes was disabled by outlook because an important error and I can´t use spambayes anymore. 5 months ago I recover a ghost image and it works again. Yesterday it stop work by the same problem. I looked for a new version and I installed the 1.1a4. For two days it works fine and I think than the new version has take the old configuration because it detect the spam without learning. The only problem I find is than in the web there is not the instruction to install in vista, because after I installed I had to make administrator privileges and activate the access to any function for all users if I want spambayes to work.
